This Privacy Policy explains how Choizly (“Choizly”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or use the Choizly app. By using Choizly, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Waitlist & website. When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you provide and basic technical data (such as approximate location from IP, device/browser type, and pages viewed) to operate and improve the site.
In the Choizly app. When the app launches, using its core features involves:
- Camera & photos: images of restaurant menus you scan. Menu images are used to read the menu and generate a recommendation. We only access your camera or photo library when you choose to scan.
- Goal & preferences: the fitness/nutrition goal you select and related preferences you enter, so we can tailor recommendations.
- Usage data: how you interact with the app, to improve it.
2. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. This includes the Meta Pixel, which helps us understand ad performance and measure sign-ups. Where the Meta Pixel or Conversions API is used, an email you submit may be sent to Meta in a hashed (irreversible) form for measurement and matching. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
3. How we use information
- To provide the waitlist and, later, the app and its recommendations.
- To communicate with you about early access and product updates.
- To measure and improve our marketing and product.
- To maintain security and comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, including hosting and database providers, email/analytics tools, and advertising platforms (such as Meta) for measurement. We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and other data for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in our messages. Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to opt out of certain processing. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Choizly is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
